John and Rita Salo will lead a hike at Gilbert Lake St Park.

Brief Hike Report: Led by Rita and John Salo, a group of about 17 people hiked the "Deer Run" trail at Gilbert Lake State Park. Although it was a bright sunny day, it was icy under foot. Signs of spring were heard by increased chirping of birds. After the hike the group had lunch by the lake.

Norma Lee Havens sent these photographs taken on the March 25, 2008 ADK hike.

Trip Report: Even though it was April Fool's Day the weather behaved itself and 26 participants, led by Lucille Wiggin, enjoyed walking the road from College Camp to the spillway of the Lower Reservoir, and back. Among the interesting sites were White Pines, icy streams, Sugar Maples with buckets, and Bill Swain collecting maple sap. We enjoyed a trail mix treat at the spillway, and upon return, lunch at the College Camp Lodge.
