Hello Tuesday hikers -
Stef and I have scouted out the section of FLT where we had planned to hike, and found it to be...WET and SNOWY [not for nothing is this place named "Arctic State Forest! ] We are altering plans just a little, to avoid the worst and stay on the better portions. Here's the plan:

SUNY-ONEONTA TO OFFER PRESENTATION ON FINGER LAKES TRAIL
Ed Sidote, chair of the Finger Lakes Trail Conference, will
speak about the Finger Lakes Trail and show photos of various points
along the way in a presentation on Thursday, April 17, at 7:30 p.m. in
the Red Dragon Theatre of the Hunt College Union at the SUNY College at
Oneonta. Admission to the event is free, and members of the community
are invited to attend.
The Finger Lakes Trail, a long-distance hiking trail with many
day options, runs from the western Catskills across the southern tier

We will meet at 10:00 at the Pine Lake Campus out the Davenport Road. It will be an easy walk on the lower track. Please bring lunch and beverage. Walk should be over by 12:00.

Tuesday, April 29 will be a "Clip-clop, waggle walk" at Arnold Lake and county forest. Meet at the Joe Cornell Road Parking Lot at 10 AM. Bring clippers, loppers, and a heavy glove (in case you get stuck working on those wretched blackberries).
