SUNY-ONEONTA TO OFFER PRESENTATION ON FINGER LAKES TRAIL
Ed Sidote, chair of the Finger Lakes Trail Conference, will
speak about the Finger Lakes Trail and show photos of various points
along the way in a presentation on Thursday, April 17, at 7:30 p.m. in
the Red Dragon Theatre of the Hunt College Union at the SUNY College at
Oneonta. Admission to the event is free, and members of the community
are invited to attend.

The Finger Lakes Trail, a long-distance hiking trail with many
day options, runs from the western Catskills across the southern tier

We will meet at 10:00 at the Pine Lake Campus out the Davenport Road. It will be an easy walk on the lower track. Please bring lunch and beverage. Walk should be over by 12:00.

Tuesday, April 29 will be a "Clip-clop, waggle walk" at Arnold Lake and county forest. Meet at the Joe Cornell Road Parking Lot at 10 AM. Bring clippers, loppers, and a heavy glove (in case you get stuck working on those wretched blackberries).

Kay Kantorowski, (607)-547-5528, will be leading this Tuesday hike. We will meet at the Clark Sports Center, Susquehanna Avenue, Cooperstown parking lot at 9:30 to consolidate riders. We will be hiking from Fernleigh Farm on the East Side of Otsego Lake, doing a loop and ending at Star Field, back to the Farm. Plan to be back to the parking area by noon.

Meet at Price Chopper at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, May 10, 2008 for a bike ride in the Milford area. Bring water and lunch. Call Julie Smith at 432-8642
