Irv and Monica Peters will lead a hike up (and down) Mt. Wellington (commonly known as "Sleeping Lion") on Tues. 9/29. Meet at 9:30 at Price Chopper in Oneonta or at 10:30 at the entrance to Glimmerglass State Park on the east side of Otsego Lake (Co. Rt. 31) - trail is about 2.5 miles total and of moderate difficulty. It is described in the Otsego County Trail Map. Lunch can be eaten after the hike at the park ... or wherever. Tuesday, October 27. Oneonta people can meet at the Ames parking lot 9:30. They will travel to the village of Schuyler Lake. Take route 205 north to route 80 and turn right on route 80. Go to route 28 and turn left on route 28 to village of Schuyler Lake. Meet Linda at the Schuyler Lake Post Office which is on the left at the blinking light. Everyone will meet there at about 10:00. Lunch will be at Dyn's cider mill. The hike is C level, with some hills, on a country road to an overlook. - Linda Melchionne, 315-858-0359. | ||
