Chapter's Monthly Meeting

Wednesday, April 21 Monthly meeting at Elm Park United Methodist Church. 6 pm potluck dinner followed by 7 pm program. Deb Zack, Development Director, and Neil Woodworth, Executive Director of ADK, will talk to us about various events that have impacts on the Adirondacks and other locations in New York State.

New hike at Brookfield Horse Trails

Time: Leave at 9:30 AM
From: Old Ames Parking Lot, Family Dollar End
Route: We will take Rte. 23 from Oneonta to Morris, then straight across to New Berlin. Take Rte. 8 north to Chenango County Rte. 25, (South Edmeston) turning left toward Columbus. After 1 mile, turn right on Chenango County Rte. 24 to the Park. Those folks who are north or west of Oneonta may want to meet us along the way. If so, you must call me so we can set up a time and place.

Hike on Hebbard's Property

Cooper Land & Red Creek Hike
Start: 09:30

I will be leading the hike on Tuesday, May 11. The hikers should meet at the Clark Sports Center in Cooperstown at 9:30 to consolidate. We will go to Co. Rt. 52 (Murphy Hill) where we used to live, and do a walk into the Cooper land and around by Red Creek and back. It will be a loop with some uphill (back up) and will be about 3 miles. We probably will be done by noontime. Everyone will be on their own for lunch......I will have a snack, and be sure to bring water. Don't know how the bugs will be.......

Gilbert Lake Hike/Photo Shoot

Julie Smith will be leading a hike/photo shoot on May 18 at Gilbert Lake State Park. To car pool, meet at former Ames at 9:30 a.m. Otherwise, we will see you at the Park at 10:00-first large parking lot on the left. For information call Julie Smith at 432-8642

Chapter's Monthly Meeting

Wednesday, May 19, Monthly meeting at Elm Park United Methodist Church, 401 Chestnut St. Oneonta. 6pm potluck dinner followed by 7pm program. Ernie and Heide Mahlke will tell us about their bicycle trip on one of the numerous bike paths that exist in Germany. They rented bikes for a nominal charge at the railroad station and took the trail thru historic Dresden, Meissen and Pirna along the Elbe River.
