I will be leading the hike on Tuesday, May 11. The hikers should meet at the Clark Sports Center in Cooperstown at 9:30 to consolidate. We will go to Co. Rt. 52 (Murphy Hill) where we used to live, and do a walk into the Cooper land and around by Red Creek and back. It will be a loop with some uphill (back up) and will be about 3 miles. We probably will be done by noontime. Everyone will be on their own for lunch......I will have a snack, and be sure to bring water. Don't know how the bugs will be....... | ||

Wednesday, May 19, Monthly meeting at Elm Park United Methodist Church, 401 Chestnut St. Oneonta. 6pm potluck dinner followed by 7pm program. Ernie and Heide Mahlke will tell us about their bicycle trip on one of the numerous bike paths that exist in Germany. They rented bikes for a nominal charge at the railroad station and took the trail thru historic Dresden, Meissen and Pirna along the Elbe River. | ||

Linda Melchionne and Stephen Bonnell, 315-858-0359, are leading the hike tomorrow, Tuesday June 1 st. Please meet at the old Ames parking lot at 9:30, if you are carpooling from Oneonta. From there you will proceed from Chestnut St., to Hwy 205 turn right , travel North about 20 minutes til you reach Hwy 80 , turn left (West ) travel maybe 4 miles to the blinking yellow light turn Right onto county hwy 16 and pull over . Steve and I will be waiting for you in the church parking lot . At 10:00 we will lead you to Bass wood pond. | ||
