On Tuesday, June 8th, Virginia & Currie Marr (432-5434) will lead the Tuesday ADK hike on trails in Arnold State Forest starting from the Nordic Ski parking lot on Joe Cornell Road. Meet at the Milford Nordic Ski parking lot at 10:00 am. Oneonta participants can consolidate rides at Price Chopper and leave by 9:30 am for the hike’s starting point. From Cooperstown: Travel hwy 28 to Milford, turn right at the light onto hwy 44, and right again on to hwy 46. Travel uphill and turn left on Joe Cornell’s Road. | ||

The hike for Tues., June 15, will be on a seasonal road in the town of Milford. The Oneonta people will meet at the old Ames parking lot at 8:30. You can travel up East Street which turns into Kelly Cornors Road. Proceed to the interscetion of B. George Rd. and Hole road. The hike will begin at 9:00 am and will be an easy walk with some hills. We are trying an earlier time to avoid the heat if there is any. The co-leaders are Fran Darrah, Bev Hensle and Maureen Willis. Call 286-3301 or 286-9126. | ||

Oneonta group should congregate at Price Chopper (near Brook's BBQ) and proceed north on Rt. 28 to the Hamlet of Schuyler Lake. Cooperstown people proceed north on Rt.. 28 to Schuyler Lake. At the caution light turn right onto Co. Rt. 22 for about 1/4 mile to the bridge over Canadarago Lake. | ||

Goodyear Lake - We will hike from our house along the railroad tracks and through the wooded area at the south end of Goodyear Lake to the Colliers Dam, about a 2-hour walk. If anyone wants an easier and shorter walk, you can walk on the lake roads (I'll provide you with a map). Bring lunch - we'll eat at the house when we return. Ice cream and cold drinks provided. Carpool from Price Chopper at 8:40 or meet at our house at 9:00 (starting earlier to avoid the heat). | ||

The hike for Tues. July 6th will be in Garrettsville led by Connie Reed. The Oneonta group will meet at the old Ames parking lot at 9:00 a.m., then carpool to Mt. Vision meeting up with people from Milford, Cooperstown area at 9:30 at the corner by the Post Office.You may bring lunch if you wish and lots of water as it will be hot.
