The hike for Tues. July 6th will be in Garrettsville led by Connie Reed. The Oneonta group will meet at the old Ames parking lot at 9:00 a.m., then carpool to Mt. Vision meeting up with people from Milford, Cooperstown area at 9:30 at the corner by the Post Office.You may bring lunch if you wish and lots of water as it will be hot. The Tuesday, July 13th hike will be on Land Trust Property at Mt. Otsego in Pierstown. Susan Birdsall will lead us and give us interesting facts along the way. Bring lunch as there is a nice place by a waterfall where we can rest and eat. Hopefully, it won`t be quite as hot as last week. Oneonta people can meet at Price Chopper at 9:00 a.m. and P&C in Hartwick Seminary at 9:30 a.m. Any Cooperstown people can meet us at the trolly parking lot at The Farmers Museum. Picnic, 5:30-8:00, at the former YMCA Day Camp, West Laurens. Bring dish to pass, table service, and beverage. Meet at Ames, 5:15, to carpool to the Y. Park or drive from Ames at Chestnut to Rt. 23 West 6.4 miles. Look for a pink ADK sign. Turn left onto YMCA Road and follow about 1 mile to the entrance on right. We will plan to explore the old trails after the picnic, if you wish. Wear long pants as there is tall grass, waterproof footwear as there may be some wet spots, and bug spray.
