The outing for July 15 is canoeing or kayaking on the Unadilla River. We will meet at the bridge on Route 23 in South New Berlin at 10 a.m. The bridge is located just outside of the village. Check your county map. There is a roomy place to park, but no bathrooms. It may be a little wet or muddy getting the boats in the water. Dress accordingly. The group from Oneonta will meet at 9 a.m. at the old Ames parking lot (corner of Winney Hill and Chestnut Street. Bring your canoe, kayak, paddle, water safety device, water, lunch and sunscreen. We will stop for ice cream after the paddle. This is a beautiful place. Expect green scenery and calm quiet waters. Please call Norma Lee Havens at 607-432-3154 for more information or to say you are coming. I have no extra boats at this time, but if you need a partner I will try to help you find one. We did this trip last year with Jack and Barbara Meeks. Jack canoes the Unadilla every week. He and Barbara will be with us. Questions call Norma Lee, 432-3154.
