Meet - Old Ames Parking Lot, Family Dollar End for carpooling. Time - Leave there at 9:30 AM for Basswood Pond. We will travel north on Route 205, turning west onto Route 80 toward Burlington Flats where we will turn right on County Route 16 to Jacobs Road. If you want to meet us along the way, please call Rita Salo for arrangements.

Lucille and I checked out Basswood State Forest today (1/17). There is plenty of snow, with nice snowmobile tracks along Basswood road which is unplowed. We followed the road to the pond area. The pond is frozen and skiable.
Whatever happens with the weather today and tomorrow, I believe we will be fine for Tuesday for skiing and snowshoeing. Also, the weather should be warm enough to have lunch at our cars before we head home.
