Susquehanna Chapter ADK

Leader: Lucille Wiggin, 432-1022. Meet at Price Chopper in time to leave at 9:30 a.m. and arrive at the Boy Scout Camp main parking lot by 10:00. We will then walk the mile down Boy Scout and Shutter Roads to the well gate where we will be met, at 10:30, by Richard Nayhe, geologist for the gas co. Upon returning to the cars, we can walk in the Boy Scout Camp for more exercise, if you wish. It looks like it will be a nice day, so bring a lunch and drink for a picnic. Or we can eat at Jackie's in Milford. Since rain is forecast for the weekend it may be muddy, so dress accordingly.
Directions: There are several ways to get to the Boy Scout Camp so consult your Otsego Co. map, if not meeting us at Price Chopper. The route with the most pavement is out Rt. 7 for 5 & 3/4 miles to Co. Rt. 42. The Boy Scout signs start at this left turn and continue at the next two lefts, Crumhorn Lake Road, and Boy Scout Road. Continue around the Lake past the Camp buildings to the main parking lot. People have had their GPS send them via an unplowed dirt road which would also be super muddy now.
