On Saturday, Feb. 27, join us for a guided snowshoe hike along the beautiful moonlit Andy’s Trail (2.7 miles) at Betty & Wilbur Davis State Park in Westford, NY. Meet at 7pm sharp in the pavilion parking lot and Joe Ritton, park employee, will lead the hike to Cabin #3 where you can warm up and enjoy refreshments provided by the Friends of Glimmerglass State Park. Joe will then resume the hike leading you back to the pavilion parking lot. Please take this opportunity to experience the magnificent views, rolling hills, and outdoor splendor of this wonderful State Park in the bright moonlight.
The Davis State Park is the 164th State Park in NYS and is comprised of 229 acres. Betty and Wilbur Davis donated it to the state on July 15, 2000. This recreational facility includes picnic areas, a new pavilion, and 6 full-service cabin vacation rentals. There are plenty of hiking trails and two ponds for catch and release fishing. Winter activities include cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and snowmobile trails.
