New Island - September 10, 2019

Report by Tracy Verma - On September 10, 23 people, some new, attended our hike on New Island Trail in Oneonta. It is not a new island. Rather, it is named after John New, an avid local environmentalist long before the environmental movement began. His daughter had hoped to attend. Hopefully next time. The trail-head starts at the kiosk with the trail map, in Catella Park.

SUNY College Camp – September 3, 2019

Report by Currie Marr -On a sunny fall-like day, 26 people came to College Camp for a 2.7 mile hike. The hike started on the Blue Trail with a climb to a patch of grass with a bench. From this point we looped back following a trail with purple-markers. The trail was in good condition and well-marked. Along the way we went through hardwoods, pine plantations, and some meadows.
