Bike Ride from Stamford to South Kortright - Tuesday, August 18, 2009

On Tuesday, Aug. 18, eleven enthusiastic bikers had a fun ride from Stamford to South Kortright and back. One very enjoyable stop was in Hobart for lunch at the park. Even though the temperature and humidity were very high, the group did not seem to mind. After the ride a few of us stopped at Stewart's for ice cream and a cold drink.

Pine Lake Ski, Snowshoe & Hike - January 13, 2009

Tuesday, Jan. 13. A group of 22 hardy ADKers met at the Pine Lake Campus on a cold and partly sunny day. We had eleven skiers, seven snowshoers, and four walkers. Everyone seemed to have a great time. After a morning of exercise; which included climbing up and down banks and scrambling over and under a fallen tree, we returned to the Lodge for our lunch. ADK Susquehanna Paddle - September 30, 2008

On Tuesday, September 30, seventeen ADKers had a wonderful paddle on a portion of the Susquehanna. What a sight it was to see thirteen canoes and kayaks lined up and ready to float up such a lovely river on a beautiful autumn morning. At noon, we banked our boats and sat along the river to enjoy our lunch. We came close to being visited by a couple of curious horses, but they decided to turn back. All got back home before the afternoon shower.
