Nine Mile Swamp Paddle -- Tuesday, August 4, 2009

Tuesday, August 4 was clear and sunny as four paddlers spent several hours on the Nine Mile Swamp section of the Sangerfield River north of Sherburne. The water was high enough to foil the beaver activity; the breeze kept the insects away. We saw the scarlet cardinal flowers as well as an unknown rose.

Gilbert Lake State Park Hike - February 17, 2009

Gilbert Lake State Park, Tuesday, February 17, 2009. Under a cloudless ceruleon blue sky, eighteen walkers (some with
snowshoes) enjoyed the hard-packed wide, snowy loop trail though mostly wooded land. It was a great day to be outside, no wind nor bugs! Photographs taken by Serina Bangilan.
