Wildflower Hike at Gilbert Lake - Tuesday, May 12, 2009

Thirty-one people turned out for a two-event day. Thirteen people went with Carol Saggese and did a wildflower photo walk. The rest hiked with Fran Darrah. We saw many flowers and plants. Cameras were clicking away as we shot everything in our path. It was quite the scene, as photographers were sitting and lying down in the trail to capture the flowers. A few (in the heat of the action) were even noted to be sitting in a mud puddle, not knowing until it soaked in. One plant we were not sure of turned out to be dwarf ginseng.
