Every third Sat. through Oct. the Wiggins or the Oakleys will lead a bike trip in the Cherry Valley after a breakfast at the Westville Airport on Rt. 166, two or three miles north of Milford. We plan to arrive between 8 and 8:30, eat, and leave about 9:30. In June, eight of us biked up the back road all the way to Cherry Valley, returned to Roseboom for lunch at the Country Cafe, and back to the Airport via Rt. 166 by 3:00. Wonderful day!
There are four or five cross over roads, so that everyone can do as much or little as they wish.

DEC Plan Would Allow Floatplanes on Lows Lake for 10 More Years
Despite a 2003 promise to phase out floatplanes on Lows Lake over five years, the state Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) has released a plan to allow commercial floatplanes to use the lake for up to 10 more years!
ADK is urging paddlers and others interested in protecting wilderness to write to DEC and the Adirondack Park Agency and urge them to abandon this illegal and unconstitutional policy.
